A Little Late is Better Than Never

There's a new 'Pick a Number' meme up at The Red Dress Club. I'm a little late, the prompt for today's meme was posted on Tuesday. But the posts go up today, so...I thought I'd let you know in case you want to run over there and play. Just click the button to the left to go to the website.

Since My Muse is on Friday strike (and yeehaa/yay, I am beginning to notice a pattern here) I thought I'd participate in this week's writing fun. My entry is (will be) about a high school freshman, in the woods, in the summertime. A crime has occurred or is about to.

In about five minutes, Me and the Muse are running screaming out of the house to: shop, stop by the library, go to my favorite recycle center (aka dump), eat (that's FIRST!), buy veggies at the farm stand, browse my favorite thrift store (okay, yes, this technically should be included in 'shop'), and possibly get a hair cut. Or not, depending on the Muse.

I will be taking my laptop to pound out le entry, which suspiciously looks like a sticky scene I need to write for my wip. But since it's a meme, see...hehe, my Muse loves the idea.

TaTa For Now. I'll be back around to post le piece when I find wifi. Which, up here in the boonies, is code for 'home'. :)

You're not alone. I didn't finish my story yet. Hehehe. I'm going to post it up tomorrow. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Sounds like you're going to be very busy, how in the world are you going to find time to write? Now I have "Down In the Boondocks" running around in my head, LOL!!! Have fun hunting!

You got the I write like label to load - that is more than I did.

Good luck with the writing.

Oh goodie, it's so wonderful to come home to you guys after six hours in and out of the heat and humidity that is summertime in Georgia. Not quite to the dog days, but any day now.

I had such a blast out in the world today. Me and the Muse were in full vacation mode! I wrote exactly one line for le entry while at the cafe, but it's a really good first line. Please come back and tell me what you think!

I spent the entire lunch talking to Katie, my server, who was reading The "History of Dahlonega" Turns out she's an avid reader, discerning AND has a story or two in her. She says she's not ready to write but I encouraged her to start with a blog. Hope she joins the blogverse soon so I can introduce her to you guys!!

Thank you for making my day, Olivia

Story is not written, but I've got four more hours till midnight! :)

Heat and humidity (as in air you can wear) is no fun to endure. When Rita devastated Lake Charles, the energy was gone for two months in the hottest part of the summer.

Ughhh!

I hope your muse kicks into overdrive and prompts a great story from you. I have confidence in you.

Now, Bonnie is teasing us again -- back to a tropical depression -- but those hot Gulf waters explode depressions quickly into nasty-tempered hurricanes. Wish me luck, Roland

On the road again

Very tricky! And I'd love to get a haircut - I'm so tired of my bangs hanging in my eyes. I have a week left to wait for my appointment, so I may end up chopping them off myself!
