New Moon, Zero Percent Full

The lunar phase icon in my middle sidebar declared this a few minutes ago. It got my attention.

New moon. Zero Percent Full.

CURRENT MOON

What a concept.

It's a time for new beginnings. Forging ahead.

Remember the couple in "2012", played by John Cusack and Amanda Peet? They have two young children and she has a fiance who gets smoked. Woody Haralson plays a fabulous part as the 'raving maniac' who predicted the whole thing.

Has anyone, besides me, noticed that kind of urgency on the air these days?

Interesting. I hardly ever pay attention to the lunar phases, but I always find that nights where I could not sleep well are those we had a full moon. Strange, huh?

Oh, and I've always wondered about the 2012 Maya Calender thingy... why are people so convinced that when that calender ends, so will the world? If the world ended with calenders, we'd have pretty awful new years every year. Or rather no more new years at all. Did they expect those poor mayans to go on with their calender (and the undoubtably complicated calculations involved) into all eternity? Surely it had to end sometime!

Most interessting to read Olivia, Read it twice and I hope the world don't end at the end of a calendar.

Tessa, as a double Cancer sun sign I find the moon and its phases fascinating. When I can get still and reach out in feeling, I can sense our connection. I'd never been presented with the concept of 'zero percent of full', though and found it noteworty.

As for the Mayans, I'm with you. Hadn't heard anyone put it that way, though and I LIKE IT!

Yvonne, I believe that we get what we create and I'm choosing to create a world that lasts long past 2012. I'm with ya!

Thanks for stopping by y'all! Olivia
