Just poking my nose in to say Yeeehaaaa!
Tonight I read through all that I had written so far on this new novel. It needs a name. It's no longer really 'my new novel'. I have, after all, been writing it for, umm, too long for it to still be termed 'new'.
But, I spent hours tonight reading, editing, honing, agonizing the perfect brew for this story.
And added about 400 words. So, HEY, I DID IT, WORLD! I sat down and wrote.
Quickly before I go, because it is, after all, 1:00 a.m.:
Thank you. Thank you very much.
Night y'all, Olivia J. Herrell
- I've settled in to my one-bedroom house.
- I have a big 'ol yard with a small forest around me, in the middle of downtown (old town) Villa Rica.
- Bugsy lo-o-o-o-v-e-s his new home and gets to hang out in my chair on the porch all day.
- He no longer has a litter box indoors. Woohoo.
- I now have a bed, a chest of drawers, a sofa, a table, and more stuff coming.
- I still need a washer and dryer.
- I'm 6/10 of a mile from my office.
- The train track runs through town, about 200 yards from my home, though it's two streets, a couple of houses and a forest away.
- My landlord just okayed a garden in the front yard and my cousin will be here to till it tomorrow.
- He's also okayed a patio out back, with tiles that were already here.
- I've met the neighbors in all three of the 'across the street' houses.
- I found a writing chair, with ottoman for $20 and a seascape for another $40.
- I made and now sit in the 'writing alcove' in my bedroom. (Oh wait, my writing alcove is my bedroom!)
- Bugsy is curled up beside me on his throw on the ottoman, which I'm using (for now) as an end table.
- He has been asleep for hours, though I keep petting him to make him purr.
- That should be a hint, though, dontcha think?
- It's time for bed.
Thank you. Thank you very much.

Woohoo!!!! Good for you, all over the place!
It's nice to have a place to call home and I'm glad Bugsy is enjoying it, too. I used to live about 20 yards from train tracks. The entire contents of my apartment used to rattle when the trains went by. But I got to where I didn't notice at all and slept like a baby, too. Makes me think of living in the big city, lol.
Glad everything is looking up finally!
When you get a sec, check out Saturday's post. I have something for you :)
Lovely you're so happy and contented. I've been through a bad spell lately but have to accept what has happened so I too see a light at the end of the tunnel
Habe a wonderful day.
Yvonne.
Good for you! So glad things are moving up for you, Olivia
Have a great day.
Olivia- I absolutely could not be more thrilled for you. Sounds like a little corner of heaven and just reading it made me feel happy. Yay for you and Bugsy!!!
xoxo

yay for Olivia!
...Olivia my dear, regardless of the hour, or the state of my day, your personal encouragement is inspiring...and makes me smile. Hope you're smiling too!

So good to hear how you're doing, friend (even if I'm not around much to find out, sorry). Yeehaw! Four hundred words can seem like conquering the world when you've been stumbling over the block for a while, I know.
Please give us updates on that garden (if you haven't already)!
